Recommended Irish Reads 2024

Published in September 2024, Recommended Irish Reads 2024 is our annual reading guide and a celebration of the talent of Irish born and Irish based artists as published in 2024. The guide contains reviews of 100 books published by Irish born and Irish based authors and illustrators as well as 100 more ‘read also’ recommendations of further reading for readers aged 0-18. The guide includes a variety of genres such as fiction, non-fiction, poetry, graphic novels and more! From débuts to our Laureates na nÓg, this is a treasure trove of talent from the island of Ireland.

Reviews are in English and Irish, with editors' choice denoted with a star and début authors marked with a megaphone throughout the guide. Every book included in this guide has been selected on its own merits and based on our belief that they are sure to #SparkALoveOfStories in young readers everywhere.
