Reading Guide: Picture This

Published in 2022, Picture This is a celebration of illustration. With the goal of making great stories accessible for every reader, this reading guide highlights over 230 visual texts. Our slogan in Irish is Amharc! Breathnaigh! Féach!, translated literally, means ‘Look! Look! Look!’ – an ideal mantra as you pick up any of these beautiful books. This guide not only recommends wonderful illustrated texts, but sends a clear message that there is no need to graduate from images to text – visual literacy is crucial, too, and stories with pictures are for everyone.
